I'm so scared to think of what could have happened, and so mad I was too dumb to call the cops. So my boyfriend ended up having to give them his iPhone, which I still fell bad about. Why didn't I just called the cops? Because I was a stupid stoned 17 year old girl with strict parents and I was horrified of getting in trouble. The one with the bat called C's phone and gave her my exact address and said if we didn't find something of value to give them, they would be paying me a visit. I stayed there for a while to make sure we were safe, then we went to my boyfriends house. This must have been enough to make them move on with their night, because they were no longer following us.

I pulled into the police station even though at this time of night other than dispatch it was empty. I had to blow a stop light, thank god it was late at night so there was no one else on the road. Thank god I was right, or they were at least too afraid to use it. They called C's phone and started blowing up on us, saying how much of a stupid little bitch i was and telling us that they had a gun, and if I didn't pull over they would start shooting at my car. I was a 17 year old girl, so obviously I had never been in a car chase before. A guy I had never seen before got out of the car with a baseball bat, so I threw it into reverse and tried to lose them. They got in front of my car and blocked me off so I had to come to a screeching stop. I saw theirs come on and they came speeding after me. I was the one driving so I stopped the car and turned around, but I guess they already saw my headlights. The tennis court lights were usually on all night, but there was a switch that could be used to turn them off by literally anyone, and this time they were off.

As we got closer i started to get a really weird feeling. It was a park near my house so I didn't really think anything of it. So we agreed on a place to meet up and got in the car. Now, my boyfriend was a big dude, and there wasn't and isn't anyone he's really afraid of. I more or less blew up on her over the phone and we were gonna fight, but then she chickened out and C's ex for some reason thought that meant he had to fight my boyfriend (that I am now married to). Some girl he was messing around with was talking shit about C and me being who I was at the time was having non of it. One day me and C were hanging out and as always, she had drama going on with her ex. He was a really shitty dude, as was everyone he hung out with. Well she had this one ex that just by chance at some point was almost my step brother (my parents thank god got back together). I, being the hot headed teenager I was, always had something to say when someone was bothering her. But that's a story for another time) always had a lot of drama going on all around her. My best friend at the time, we'll call her C, (she turned out to be a really bad person.

I have a PDF of the short story too if anyone wants it.So I'm a 21yo F, but at the time I was 17. The game can be brought on steam and the audio-book of the short story is on YT: (narrated by the author)Īlt audio book: (this is my favourite version) If the word 'hate' was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those hundreds of millions of miles it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel for humans at this micro-instant. There are 387.44 million miles of printed circuits in wafer thin layers that fill my complex.

Let me tell you how much I've come to hate you since I began to live. The quote by AM on how much it hates mankind is amazing and probably one of my favourite quotes of all time. The game is hella old so the graphics and gameplay are kinda shit, but it's worth it for the storytelling. Who AM keeps alive, and almost immortal, so it can endlessly torture them. AM wipes out everyone on earth, save for 5 people. The story and game follows AM, a supercomputer that has become sentient and loathes mankind for its creation. If you want a fun horror game or short story to read, I highly suggest "I have no mouth, and I must scream." "Hot, cold, hail, lava, boils or locusts-it never mattered: the machine masturbated and we had to take it or die."
